You may be thinking of fall, with its pumpkin spice hues, or even the holidays that sparkle with silvers and golds, but that doesn’t mean it’s too soon to be thinking of the colors likely to be trending in 2019. For a glimpse of what to expect, color-wise, in the coming year, we turn to Pantone’s color trend report.

Joyful, empowering colors make up the trends for next year, and just looking at them will make your heart happy. The leading trends are attention-grabbing shades of orange, red, and pink. Psychologically, these colors are all about empowerment and all the confident, joyful, uplifting emotions associated with it. Rounding out the colors are yellows, greens, and cobalt blues that encapsulate fun, and neutrals that are needed in any color palette.

The best part? These bright, happy colors are perfect for Florida homes. Let’s take a look at how to incorporate these delicious colors into your interior décor.

Be Bold and Subtle at the Same Time

When you have a neutral palette, you can be bold and subtle at the same time. The neutral space creates a beautiful backdrop for the sleigh bed dressed in snowy linens. The large throw pillow featuring a pattern with a goldy-yellowy hue inspired by Pantone’s Turmeric liven up the space. And see that throw on the bed? It closely matches Pantone’s yummy Toffee color. Paired with the equally delectable Buttercream pillows, these colors give a subtle glow to a space you’ll crave at the end of the day.

Soothe the Soul with Classic Colors

In a colorway reminiscent of Pantone’s Classico palette, this bedroom features soothing neutrals inspired by White Swan and a gentle gray based on Gray Flannel, two colors in the Classico palette. Together with a gentle pink and touches of light teal, you’ve got a room whose mood is soul deep. Just as its name infers, these colors are essential, sober, and timeless while also being elegant and always in style. It’s the perfect palette to create a space where you can relax, rest, and rejuvenate in an oasis of calm and peace.

Liven Your Space with a Plethora of Blues and Greens

The Meanderings palette brings us blues and greens in abundance, offset by a white and yellow. You can see the theme here. A neutral backdrop that lets the colors stand out. In this case, the comforter features the blues and greens that highlight the coastal nature of the bed. Seaworthy, for sure, and the perfect place to return to after your day’s meanderings. An especially nice touch is the vase of Cabernet blooms that bring a freshness that livens up the room.

This is just a preview of what next year has in store for interior décor colors. Pantone generally announces seven palettes each year, plus a color of the year. So, there’s plenty of colors to go around.
